An Evening with Author J.R. Moehringer
Online sales have ended, but you can still buy tickets at the door tonight! Doors will open at 6pm, and the event begins at 7pm. Thanks!

Update: Bring a guest for free! Each ticket will now admit two people and include one copy of "Sutton," as well as a donation to Nurses for Newborns.

KTRS morning radio show host McGraw Milhaven, Left Bank Books, and Commerce Bank invite you to a book event and fundraiser with J.R. Moehringer, author of the acclaimed book, "The Tender Bar," and a new novel, "Sutton." Proceeds will benefit Cardinal Ritter Children's Hospital Foundation.

McGraw Milhaven will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the event, in which his cousin J.R. Moehringer will discuss and sign copies of "Sutton" and take questions from the audience.

Tickets are $50 and include admittance for two people, one hardcover copy of "Sutton," which the author will sign at the event. Additional books by J.R. Moehringer will be for available for sale by Left Bank Books.

Mad Art Gallery, a former police station turned art gallery, will provide a cash bar at this event.

ABOUT "SUTTON"
Trapped in a cycle of bank panics, depressions and soaring unemployment in the early twentieth century, Willie Sutton saw only one way out, only one way to win the girl of his dreams. So began the career of America's most successful bank robber. A master at breaking into banks, Sutton was considered one of the most dangerous men in New York and appeared on the FBI's first-ever Most Wanted List, but the public rooted for the bank robber who never fired a shot and whose only victims were merely those bloodsucking banks.

Blending vast research with vivid imagination, Pulitzer Prize-winner J.R. Moehringer brings Willie Sutton blazing back to life. In Moehringer's retelling, it was more than need or rage at society that drove Sutton. It was one unforgettable woman. In all Sutton's crimes and confinements, his first love (and first accomplice) was never far from his thoughts.

Poignant, comic, fast-paced and fact-studded, "Sutton" tells a story of economic pain that feels eerily modern, while unfolding a story of doomed love, which is forever timeless.
