MAGGIE SANSONE, Hammered dulcimer  Host Fiona Ritchie said "Maggie's music has been at the heart of a musical movement that explores American roots and Celtic soul in a great variety of authentic acoustic delight." One of America's premier hammered dulcimer players and recording artists, Maggie has been featured on CBS-TV Sunday Morning, and NPR's All Things Considered, Performance Today, XM Radio and Echoes Soundscapes. Her 12th recording Wind Drift: Celtic Grooves, mystic moods was released in September, 2010 and was featured twice on NPR's The Thistle & Shamrock. Among many awards, Maggie received Wammie awards from the Washington Area Music Association for Celtic/Irish Instrumentalist and Record Label of the Year. Maggie is founder and CEO of Maggie's Music record label with over fifty recordings and twelve recording artists.

PAUL OORTS Belgian-born Paul Oorts performs on harp guitar, 10-string cittern, mandolin, and musette accordion most often with his wife, hammered dulcimer player Karen Ashbrook. He is very active in the world of English, Contra, and Vintage dances in the DC-Baltimore area. With Goldcrest he has performed at dance events all over the US and on tour in Scotland.

KAREN ASHBROOK Maggie's Music Artists Karen Ashbrook (hammered dulcimer, wooden flute) and her husband, Belgian multi-instrumentalist Paul Oorts (harp guitar, accordion) play a wide range of traditional music from Europe. Karen brings Celtic music to the duo and Paul brings rare 17th and 18th century music from Belgian and French manuscripts he transcribes. They perform around the country for concerts, dances and festivals and have several CDs on the Maggie's Music label.

SETH KIBEL is the leader, clarinetist, and composer for The Alexandria Kleztet, a genre-bending klezmer band he founded in the Baltimore/Washington area. In addition to his activities with The Kleztet, Seth has fronted a variety of swing and jazz groups, including Bay Jazz Project. He can also currently be seen with the Washington/Baltimore area's most exciting swing and jump blues band, The Natty Beaux. Seth has appeared with such notables as Sam Moore (Sam & Dave), Percy Sledge, The Coasters, and Johnnie Johnson. He has performed at the Kennedy Center, the Carter Barron Amphitheatre, the Lowell Folk Festival in Lowell, Massachusetts, as well as on several European tours.

MATTHEW BELL is a percussionist known for his versatility and sensitive accompaniment style. He has performed and/or recorded with many luminaries in the Celtic Music Scene including Bonnie Rideout, Jerry O'Sullivan, William Jackson, John Doyle, Cathie Ryan, Liz Carroll, Mick Maloney, Brendan Dolan, Maggie Sansone, Kevin McCrae, Tony Cuffe, Hazel Wrigley, Máiri MacInnes, Christine Hanson, Billy McComiskey, Rosie Shipley, Paddy League, Flynn Cohen, Emerald Rae, Patsy O'Brien, and Eliot Grasso. Locally, he has played at venues including the Kennedy Center, Wolftrap Center for the Performing Arts, the Birchmere, the Strathmore Center for the Performing Arts, the Verizon Center, and the White House. He has appeared on national television broadcasts including Good Morning America and the Kennedy Center Honors. ANDREA HOAG A Grammy nominee and winner of Washington Area Music Awards "Best Traditional Folk Instrumentalist," Andrea Hoag is a legendary performer of Swedish folk fiddling in America. Her music has been featured on NPR's All Things Considered and Performance Today, at the Kennedy Center and Library of Congress, on a variety of recordings, and at numerous venues around the U.S. and abroad. Known for her versatility and imagination, Andrea leads Old Doors/New Worlds, a collaboration among musicians, dancers, and filmmakers. The first American to graduate from the Folk Violin Pedagogy program at Malungs Folkhögskola (Sweden), Andrea also studied with elder tradition-bearers Pekkos Gustaf and Nils Agenmark. She has taught at the Festival of American Fiddle Tunes, Ashokan Fiddle & Dance Weeks, and Swannanoa Gathering, and as a guest instructor at Berklee College of Music. Andrea is also a respected composer and an interpreter of American fiddle styles.
