The first concert in the 2016-2017 GSJC season! Artistic Director, Dr. Chris Thomas, will leave the conductors podium and step onto the stage as a soloist, performing Go Lovely Rose by Roger Quilter. He will be joined in the Showcase by a cast of chorus members in varied solo roles, both vocal and instrumental.
Though all of the pieces come from the realm of the traditional literature, there is a lightness to this years selections, said John Vovak, production manager. If you are a person who typically avoids classical recitals, you will be surprised. We have something different in store for you this yearthe lighter side of the classics.
