Cassie, a deadbeat diary queen employee, and her best friend Jaz live together in a low-income apartment building in upstate New York. They spend their free time getting stoned, watching reality TV and making artisanal jewelry for the Renaissance Fair. But when a famous, older painter arrives at their door looking for the first piece he ever sold, Cassie sees the enticing chance to escape one reality and slip into another.
