This festive program will center on Vivaldis Four Seasons, paired with a newly commissioned companion work by Tawnie Olson. Olsons unique approach to birdsong will shed new light on the changing of the seasons, and pairing Vivaldis concerti with this world premiere will make for one thrilling evening. The new work by Olson will be a reflection, a mirror, and a response to Vivaldi that will help to further enliven and enrich the concert experience for modern listeners.

This season the Sebastians celebrate their namesake, J. S. Bach, with performances of some of his most beloved master works. Beginning with the virtuosic Brandenburg Concerti, the season will also include a unique exploration of his Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin, and a spectacular production of Bachs St. John Passion with the singers of TENET, led from the organ by Sebastians artistic director Jeffrey Grossman.

We honor Bachs great love of Vivaldi with a festive performance of Vivaldis Four Seasons, with a newly-commissioned companion work by Tawnie Olson. Our season finale is an intimate treasure, featuring selections from Bachs Musical Offering and works by his contemporaries, Telemann and Handel.
