SCGA Workshop: Energy and Light Considerations
Sonoma County is evaluating sustainable indoor incentives.  Do you know your options?

Join us on August 7 for a Learning Laboratory about Energy and Light Considerations for Indoor and Mixed Light Cultivation.

Sonoma County Growers Alliance is proud that our community is committed to growing clean, high quality cannabis and we strive to offer educational opportunities to help cultivators thrive.

Meet the experts and companies making changes for our future, panelists include:

Dr. Sabeh leads Guttman & Blaevoet's Agriculture in Controlled Environments (AiCE) team.
She has nearly 20 years of experience researching and designing climate control systems for greenhouse vegetable production, commercial mushroom cultivation, and indoor cannabis grows. Nadia has presented at international conferences on controlled environment agriculture (CEA) and wrote the 2014 book Tomato Greenhouse Roadmap. She also wrote 2 chapters for the 2016 book Plant Factory: "Rooftop Plant Production Systems in Urban Areas", and "Physical Environmental Factors and their Properties".

Scott Zeramby is an entrepreneur and a well-known consultant to the specialty horticulture industry. He's been passionately gardening for over 35 years while working behind the scenes with manufacturers of horticultural supplies and equipment helping them to develop products for the professional hydroponics and home gardening industry.

In 2010, Scott teamed with Nobel Laureate Dr. Evan Mills to quantify the energy consumed by indoor cannabis producers. The resulting work, titled Energy Up in Smoke: The Carbon Footprint of Indoor Cannabis Production is the only peer reviewed study of its kind. Their work revealed critical information that has been instrumental in guiding public policy towards a more sustainable production model in Colorado, Washington State and California. It instantly achieved worldwide recognition and has been featured in hundreds of newspapers and radio programs, including the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, BloombergView, The Huffington Post, MSNBC and KCBS.
