The San Francisco Electronic Music Festival's sizzling seventeenth annual festival of adventurous electronic music features four days of concerts and events.
Thursday, September 8th (Exploratorium)
Gen Ken Montgomery performs Conrad Schnitzler's Cassette CONcert.
IMA electronics and percussion duo.
Friday, September 9th (BRAVA)
Maja S.K.Ratkje - Norways Maja S.K. Ratkjes work and collaborations are all over the genre map: from classical compositions performed by noted symphony orchestras to a side project with members of Norwegian black metal band, Enslaved.
Moor Mother - (formerly Moor Mother Goddess) from Philadelphia composes impassioned songs and soundscapes with a background in Afrofuturism and punk.
Irene Moon - a UCSB professor, whose absurd but truly factual performances are inspired by insects and her research. Saturday, September 10th (BRAVA)
Arcane Device (NYC) - (a.k.a. David Lee Myers) has produced music based on feedback principles since 1987, using his unique feedback machines.
Thea Farhadian - performs works for violin and electronics.
Alessandro Bosetti (Italy) - his works for voice and electronics play with speech as sound vs. speech as language. Sunday, September 11th (BRAVA)
clipping. - Los Angeles based experimental hip-hop group clipping. is rapper Daveed Diggs with electronic musicians William Hutson and Jonathan Snipes, described as hip-hop spilled over the abrasive crunches, squeals, clangs, slurps, and static of experimental musique concrète.
Tujurikkuja - local duo of Joshua Kit Clayton and Chris Dixon.
Madalyn Merkey - local soundscape maker in quadraphonic sound.
