EMAKUME Gathering

EMAKUME is many things. It is a gathering. A celebration. A sharing of wisdom, skills, and the art of living life in a female body. It is a light that illuminates the feminine force in nature and within us that seeks to create, nurture, and express. It is a place to recognize our worth, to be witnessed as we are, and held in our beauty and imperfections. It is a magnet for women seeking to reveal the greatness of their own soul. A container for empowerment and a repository for grief. EMAKUME is a transformative force that eliminates competition and jealousy by exposing its greatness within all of us, moving us from strangers to sisters.

Included in this ticket price is a 3 day pass to the gathering. This includes parking, camping, 3 workshops PLUS 2 yoga classes, evening festivities, most meals, some wonderful surprises, and deep connections to other women in the region.

We seek to cocreate the sacred space of the village. Once, women and children lived together, ate together, cried, sang, and laughed together as community. A womans sisters were always around her to provide a golden net of support and love, and to share with her their collective wisdom. The village of EMAKUME will manifest in a physical sense in September, 2016, however we not only hope that the connections fostered within the gathering extend on beyond the time we are together, but also that the sense of openness, acceptance, and sisterhood experienced here extends out to your interactions with all women known and yet to be known to you. We see the resurrection of the village as crucial to the evolution of humanity at this time. Coming together in harmony with our earthly sisters (and brothers) helps to heal loneliness and dispel fear of other humans. As we open and connect with each other, we discover that we all share similar dreams, fears, pains, desires, and emotions, and by doing this we create deep social bonds where there was once separation and isolation. This then paves the way for the sharing of resources and collaborative creation that is essential for the sustainability of human life of this precious planet. This village acknowledges and honors all women as unique sources of feminine wisdom, creativity, and beauty. We value each individual as supremely important to the creation of our village. Here we will share our hearts and stories to the degree that each woman is comfortable with sharing, recognizing that what is said and experienced within these woods stays here unless given permission by a sister to share with the outside world.

This is a safe space and stepping out of your comfort zone is encouraged, as that opens the door to growth and self exploration. We want to SEE you, FEEL you, HEAR you, and CELEBRATE you.
