After a years long run of Tuesday nights at Toad the Blue Ribbons take a well deserved break for August. This is your last chance to catch the band locally before they return in September. A low-rock Boston sound since the 90s, The Franc Graham Bands third release (Steady, 2011) delivers signature grit and groove: turntables and guitars snake around a voice intimate and commanding. Backed by an all-star band, including Jerome Deupree of Morphine, theyve shared the stage with such greats as Lucinda Williams who dubbed herself a Franc Graham convert. The Boston Globe calls the band immensely underrated.
