little independent theatre is proud to present THE ROARING GIRL by Thomases Dekker & Middleton.
l.i.t.'s production explores the time, the people, and the question of gender roles in 1946 Chicago, where Moll challenges all those around her to be authentic and honest with who they are.
Under the direction of ARClitE founder Julya M Mirro, this stellar ensemble embrace gender and sexuality to bring their characters to life. To wit:
Denver Skye Vaughn as Mary & Trapdoor John Paul Middlesworth as Laxton, et al Laura Parker as Rosie the Riveter & Gallipot Lia Fitzgerald as Rosamond & Sir Dapper Livian Kennedy as Moll Michael Parker as Tiltyard & Sir Alexander Wengrave Nick Popio as Jack Dapper Nicola Lefler as Lady Fitzallard & Neatfoot Noelle Barnard Azarelo as Prudence & Sebastian Sean Malone as Lady Dapper & Openwork Tiffany Clark as Goshawk & Gull
We're all about the whoopie! To participate, wear BLUE for femininity, PINK for masculinity, YELLOW if you just don't claim one or the other - or come in 40's garb!
Don't be a flat tire: this show is the cat's meow and openly explores sexuality.
