"Crash Landing in a Sequin Bikini"
Pamela is dancing on the bar at the Eagle, dressed in go-go boots, a silver sequined bikini and a giant wig with waist-length platinum curls. The room pulses, and the dance floor below her is a tumble of slick limbs and sweat drenched hair, wild eyes and smiles. Drums thump and boom, horns scream. One song bleeds into the next, and she can feel the sweat drip down her glittered skin. The band surges forward off the stage and into the writhing audience. She wants to be closer, closer to the heart of the beautiful chaos. She cant help herself, she turns around, spreads her arms and falls backward.
