CREATE A PLAY IN 4 DAYS
Ages: 14 - 18
Dates: Tues. July 5th - Fri. July 8th from 9am - 3pm.
Final Presentation: Friday July 8th at 7pm
Cost Per Student: $120 (some scholarships available, contact deertrees@usa.net for details)
This workshop will give you the chance to get all your creative juices flowing! In just four days, we'll hone our ideas into an original play all our own. Our play will come from a process called devising -- where all of the actors are also the idea-generators, playwrights, and editors working together to create an entirely new piece of theater. We'll play games and do exercises to build our acting and improvisation skills, then put them to good use as we create our play. The classic Hero's Journey is our jumping off point, but where we go from there? The sky's the limit!
Final presentation on Fri. July 8th at 7pm.
