The Invaders
Memphis, 1967: The untold story of a new, radicalized generation of civil rights activists and their behind- the-scenes involvement with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in the pivotal days leading up to his assassination (76 minutes) Director Prichard Smith and Invaders present at screening.

FRIDAY, APRIL 15, 700pm:  
Sooner or Later, Somebody's Gonna Fight Back (work in progress)
The first documentary to chronicle the history and political development of the Louisiana State Chapter of the Black Panther Party (12 minutes). Filmmakers  Shana griffin and Brice White present at screening.

A portrait of art used as a revolutionary weapon, through the story of Emory Douglas, Minister of Culture for The Black Panther Party. (8 min.)

MAJOR!
The life and campaigns of Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a formerly incarcerated Black transgender elder and activist who has been fighting for the rights of trans women of color for over 40 years (80 minutes) Panel Discussion featuring Director Annalise Ophelian, producer StormMiguel Florez, and staff and members of BreakOUT! and TGIJP.

SATURDAY, APRIL 16, 7:00pm
Speed Sisters
The Speed Sisters are the first all-women race car driving team in the Middle East, and theyre tearing up tracks all over Palestine (80 minutes). Director Amber Fares present at screening.

Red Umbrella Diaries
Seven sex workers from diverse backgrounds tell their stories (99 minutes). Cast members present for screening, and film introduced by Wendi Cooper of Women With A Vision.

Pinkwashing Exposed: Seattle Fights Back!
In Seattle, Washington, the local LGBT community struggles over their positions on Palestinian human rights. (56 minutes)
Post-screening discussion on Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions with Palestinian scholar-activist Nada Elia

Race, Gender, Environment, and Youth: Revolutionary Short Films
1) Ecohybridity
Fifteen Black feminists responding to disaster capitalism and Black dislocation. (10 minutes).
Panel discussion with Director Jazz Franklin, Producer Kai Lumumba Barrow and collaborating artist Shana griffin.
2) Mossville: A Story of Community Extinction" (work in progress)
A centuries-old black community is contaminated and uprooted by petrochemical plants, and one man refuses to give up. (15 minutes). Discussion with producer Daniel Bennet and director Alex Glustrom.
3) Our New Orleans
Four shorts written, directed, and produced by New Orleans youth, responding to the city ten years after Hurricane Katrina (20 minutes).
