Vineyard Preparation for 2016 - Southern Illinois

There are so many things to consider in order to produce a high-quality crop. This workshop will present concepts important to timely vineyard management practices, including tissue sampling canopy management, crop estimation, as well as provide tips to getting a good relationship started with a winery.

Speakers and Topics include:
Chris Lawlor-White, Galena Cellars: A Northern Perspective on Winery and Grower Relationships

Sarah Bowman, SIU: Vineyard Data Sampling, Tissue Analysis, Crop Estimation

Brett Morrison, StarView Vineyards: Vineyard Tour and Discussion with the 2016 Viticulturist of the Year

Additionally, winemakers are encouraged to bring a wine or two to share with the group for active discussion.

Workshop begins at 1 PM, and should conclude by 5PM.
For IGGVA Members: Advance registration price $5 for education session. Advanced registration will close 48hrs prior to the event. Registration is available at the door for $10/person (make checks to "IGGVA").

We initially had planned a dinner option for this event, but due to unfortunate circumstances this formal event has been cancelled. It is still likely that we will go out for a meal after the meeting, but this will be on your own.
