Guitarist and singer/songwriter Willy Porter has been turning first time listeners into die-hard fans for more than two decades. He and singing partner, Carmen Nickerson, bring their brand of righteous indie-folk for a night of high-test tunes and tons of fun. Willys signature finger-picking guitar work and rich songwriting creates a one-of-a-kind musical ride that has energized audiences all over the world from stages shared with icons such as Jethro Tull, Tori Amos, Paul Simon, and Jeff Beck.
Carmen Nickersons soulful vocals and playful singing style pairs exquisitely with Willys grooves to produce soaring harmonies that add fresh layers and new depth to Willys songs.
The duo is touring in support of Willys 2015 release, Human Kindness, a disc that combines Willys acoustic, electric, and multi-string chops to bear on a group of songs that explore themes about connection, compassion, and the triumphs and struggles of the human journey. Willy and Carmen also bring new tunes to this tour, co-written by the pair, that feature on an upcoming album produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Ben Wisch (Marc Cohn, Jonatha Brooke), slated for release in the summer of 2016.
