CityDance Summer Intensive Audition
Audition now for a once in a lifetime summer experience working with acclaimed artists and directors from around the country. CityDance summer offers intensives with Koresh Dance Company (June 20-July 1), Gallim Dance (July 5-15), and Dance Theatre of Harlem (July 17-29) as well as opportunities to study with CityDance's esteemed Ballet Master Anatoli Kucheruk and Ballet Mistress Ludmila Morkovina.
If you have missed our previous auditions, please join us on Saturday, March 19 at Howard University, Department of Theatre Arts, Dance Studio Room B-121, 2455 Sixth Street, NW, Washington, DC 20059.
Audition day will include Classical Ballet, Pointe and Contemporary classes. Please refer to the schedule breakdown below:
8-9 y/o:
Check-In: 9:00am-10:00am
Ballet: 10:00am-11:15am
Contemporary (Optional): 2:30pm-3:30pm
10-11 y/o:
Check-In: 9:00am-10:00am
Ballet: 10:00am-11:15am
Contemporary: 2:30pm-3:30pm
12-14 y/o:
Check-In: 10:15am-11:15am
Ballet (men and women): 11:15am-12:15pm
Pointe: 12:15pm-12:45pm

Please note: The audition is occurring at the close of Spring Break. Access to the dance studio will be through the rear of the Fine Arts building/Cramton Auditorium/Childers parking lot. Upon entering the building, go down the stairs to the basement level, and make a right. The dance studio is at the end of the hallway.

Take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (I-295) to New York Avenue (R-50). Take New York Avenue to Florida Avenue and turn right. Take Florida Avenue to Georgia Avenue and turn right. Take Georgia Avenue to Howard Place (approximately four blocks) and turn right. You are now on the campus of Howard University.
Be advised that if you are taking the D.C. Metro Green/Yellow Line to the Shaw-Howard Stop, the Howard University shuttle service will NOT be running from Shaw-Howard to main campus. From the bus it is a ten minute walk or you may take the 70 Bus.
At the top of the hill, main entrance to the campus, turn left onto 6th Street. Proceed to Cramton Auditorium/Fine Arts complex on your right. Turn right into the Childers Hall/Cramton Auditorium parking lot at the brown guards booth. Proceed to the back of the building and park in any designated parking space. Enter the Fine Arts Building through the brown double doors, and go down stairs to the basement level, make a right. The dance studio is at the end of the hallway.
