Mark Goldberg and "Uncle Doug" Pay Tribute to Elton John and Neil Young

Two talented local artists, Mark Goldberg and "Uncle Doug", with guest band members, pay tribute too the music of Elton John and Neil Young.

Mark Goldberg has been performing the music of Elton John since 2014. He plays both keyboards and guitar and sings as well. Marks musical journey began at the age of three. His father was a big fan of R&B and Jazz Fusion, and Mark listened to music by Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, War, Rufus, and Stevie Wonder. Mark has been playing classical as well as other musical styles for 25 years He became interested in classical acoustic styles in 1990. He started playing piano the following year. Mark has performed with several bands and as a solo artist. He has also recently put together many original recordings which can be found on the websites Fandalism and Reverb Nation.

"Uncle Doug" Cooper is a skilled musician whose musical journey began in 1970. He picked up his first guitar in 1974 and in 1978 he picked up the bass guitar and never
looked back. He co-founded the Seattle Band LAESIX (1981-1993), studied music theory, ear training & piano at Edmonds Community College (1984-1987), started a
sound/lighting, live & studio recording, and DJ company (D C Sound 1984-1992), and worked with countless Seattle bands. As a result, hes worked and played all over the
Northwest, recorded 1 studio album with LAESIX, released a 90 minute solo project, and topped it all off with the opportunity to open up for such national acts as The Iron
Butterfly, The Georgia Satellites, & The Outlaws. He currently plays in several bands and a variety of genres from country, classic rock, swing, jazz, and beyond. He enjoys solo and group performances and is a gifted multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. He has also just completed his first solo tour (Feb 2016)to Nashville Tennessee.
