ONCE UPON A MATTRESS - SWS Middle School Musical
Once Upon a Mattress is the true story of the Princess and the Pea. It takes place in a small kingdom ruled over by a talkative queen and a mute king. Twelve girls came to the castle hoping to wed Prince Dauntless, each one a true princess. But for one reason or another, each one was found to be unsuitable by the Queen. All of the knights and ladies are frustrated, because of the Queen's new "marriage law": "No one may wed 'til Dauntless to the altar's led". When Sir Harry goes on a perilous journey and brings back an unconventional Princess, everyone pitches in to help her win the Princes hand. With lots of singing and dancing, the 2 matinee perfeormances (2pm Saturday, March 5th and 2pm Sunday, March 6th) will be fun for the whole family, while the evening performances (7pm Friday, March 4th and 7pm Saturday, March 5th) are more suitable for 2nd grade and up.
Runtime: 1 hr, no intermission
