Making a move down the street from their weekly Monday night gig a sister club Toad are THE WHITE OWLS. The band's notoriously firm grip on The Blues is not for the faint of heart. They growl, moan and tear at the music with the attitude of unbridled youth but maintain just enough control to let the listeners know that they are fully in charge. This is musicianship bar none. Just look at the band; DENNIS BRENNAN on harmonica, guitar and vocals. Tim Gearan on guitar and vocals. Steve Sadler on lap steel. Jim Haggerty on bass and Andy Plaisted one drums. Killer.
Opening the show is Danielle Miraglia and the Glory Junkies. Also no stranger to either Toad or Lizard, Danielle and her band offer up deeply narrative lyricism and carefully crafted compositions... all tucked in behind the steady groove and stomp of Miraglias soulful guitar work and heavy right foot. The band is a killer cast of musicians blending the classic rock vibe of The Rolling Stones and Janis Joplin with Danielle's signature lyrical ability to explore human nature at its best and worst. Danielle was nominated for a 2015 Boston Music Award for Singer-Songwriter of the Year.
