Awaken Dance Theater 2nd Anniversary Gala

Come and see Awaken Dance Theater in its Second Anniversary Gala Performance! The company, which had it's first studio showing in early 2014,aims to make bold statements on social and political issues through dance. Using a variety of styles and techniques, we want to inspire the audience and community at large to think more about the topic being presented, and to take action if they are so inspired.

We'll be premiering for the first time our complete 45-minute piece about climate change, which explores its effects on humans and wildlife alike.

The company has 14 stellar dancers, that come from all over the world, including the USA, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Colombia, and France, and have trained at such prestigious academies as the Ailey School, the Joffrey Ballet, and the Bolshoi Academy in Moscow, to name a few.

Again, performances are on Saturday March 12th at 8:00pm and Sunday Marcy 13th at 6:00pm at the Ailey Studios, located at 405 W 55th Street in Manhattan.
