The Secret Life of Your Third Grade Teacher

Former third grade teacher and 2-time Moth GrandSLAM champion Micaela Blei tells the story of a year teaching third grade-- and what was really going on during all that fun.

Micaela Blei is a storyteller, PhD student, former elementary school teacher and current Senior Education Program Manager for The Moth. She is a two-time Moth GrandSLAM champion and toured nationally with the Unchained Tour in 2013. Her stories can be heard on The Moth Radio Hour and podcast, as well as on Dingmantics, Narrative.ly, Soundtrack Series and others. The Daily Dish recently called her "hilarious and heartrending."

Micaela is a doctoral candidate in Educational Theatre at NYU with a research focus on something very very smart.
