THE TRAVELING LADY
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sinatra and Wanda White present Horton Foote's THE TRAVELING LADY
Horton Foote wrote this story about Harrison, Texas, his mythologized version of his hometown of Wharton, in 1954, when he was building his reputation not only as a Broadway playwright but also as one of the top writers of television's Golden Age. It was the basis for BABY, THE RAIN MUST FALL, the 1965 Steve McQueen-Lee Remick movie partly filmed in Wharton. Now the characters take their turn on the Plaza stage, as Georgette Thomas brings her little girl to town to meet her daddy with bittersweet results.
Beer and wine as well as classic movie theater fare available at the concession stand.
