Elasticity on Stage: Stretching from the Rooted Character to the Absurdity of the Situation
(A Workshop for Intermediate & Advanced Improvisers with Mosie McNally)

This workshop will explore the importance of relationship in scenes, staying true to your character while acknowledging and highlighting the absurdity of the improvised situation. This is where improv parallels surrealism and we get to some heavy yes-and'ing. In improv, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do? Put it up to eleven. (Those last two sentences should be read in a fake English accent.) Come put it up to eleven with Mosie.
About your teacher:
Mosie Senn-McNally began improv with a Cambridge adult ed class nearly 20 years ago. She moved on to study, perform, and teach at ImprovBoston for several years. Now back in Northampton, she occasionally appears with the Ha-Ha's and performs each summer with the Majesters in West Springfield. Mosie is a high school art teacher and works on tapping young people's creativity daily. She has run several state and national art education conference workshops on using improv to improve teaching. She directs her school's improv troupe and regularly teaches high school improv workshops.
