GENE DOUGLAS
Gene Douglas is an Austin based singer/songwriter who blends traditional American sounds and styles with a modern and inventive approach. His lyrics are edgy, honest and delivered in his strident and powerful voice which can alternately croon sweetly or thoroughly electrify.
He is currently working on his first record of original solo material. Walking country roads in the footsteps of such giants as Lightnin' Hopkins, Jimmy Rogers, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jenninhgs, Jimmy Page, Woody Guthrie and Jeff Buckley.
