The Vocal Factor - A Singing Competition!
Please join WCMS for its first-ever singing contest for enrolled students between the ages of 10 and 18. Contestants can choose any genre for their performance - from Broadway to Rock to Opera. A preliminary in-house round will consist of an a cappella audition in front of three judges. On March 18, join the live audience to watch the final competition!
Senior Level: Ages 13-18. First prize will be a recording session in our professional sound studio, plus vocal coaching.
Junior Level: Ages 10-12. First prize will be vocal coaching.
The Vocal Factor is hosted by Norina Rowen, Voice Faculty Department Chair and professional singer, and Mike Verge, Underground Department Chair, songwriter, guitarist, and music industry veteran. Professional sound recording will be provided by Matt Pendergast, our recording and mix engineer.
