DANCE IN PRIVATE SPACE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Heyward Bracey, Andrew Mandinach, Emily Marchand, and the collaborative movement company, szalt are in rehearsal from December to February developing new works in response to Lynn Ellen Bathke and Cary Gallagher's home in Angelino Heights. Together they will form a one-of-a-kind performance event to be experienced for two days only.

homeLA brings dance process to residential space.
The project provides a platform to independent dance, body-based, sound, and interactive media artists at various stages of their careers to develop new works and one-of-a-kind performances in response to the architecture and ethos of Los Angeles homes. During one to three month rehearsal periods artists work collectively and consider one of the project's central questions: how do we share space?
homeLA invites a mobile audience to various neighborhoods throughout the city to experience live performance in intimate settings.
Combining site-sensitive dance with salon-style performance, homeLA seeks to promote a dialogue between artists and audiences about performance, private space, and Los Angeles' particular landscape.
Your contribution through ticket purchase is used to help support artist fees and light production costs.
The project was initiated in 2013 and is fiscally sponsored by the Pasadena Arts Council.
