Jack and the Beanstalk - A Holiday Pantomime

The Poor Mouth Theatre Company presents Jack and the Beanstalk A Holiday Pantomime. There will 5 performances: Thursday 12/17 @ 8pm, Saturday 12/19 @ 2pm, Sunday 12/20 @ 2pm. And the following weekend Saturday 12/26 @ 8pm and Sunday 12/27 at 2pm.

Performances will be held at An Beal Bocht Café (445 W 238th Street), in Riverdale, Bronx, NY. Tickets are $18/adults, $12 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available at An Beal Bocht Café and at BrownPaperTickets.com

Holiday "pantos" have a long tradition in England and Ireland. If you've never been to one it's not pantomime in the quiet, silent mime sense. It is loud, silly and a lot of fun. That means songs and comedy as well as audience participation. Cheer for the hero and boo the villain, sing along to the songs and have fun and laughs along the way.

Bring the kids but we guarantee adults will enjoy this too.

ABOUT THE SHOW

Bessie the Cow has no more milk! What are poor Jack and his Mother to do? The decision is made to sell Bessie the Cow at the market but on the way Jack runs into the mysterious Bosco the Magnificent who convinces Jack to trade Bessie the Cow for Magic Beans. The story unfolds with Jack encountering a huge beanstalk, a Giant, his Wife, a goose and a really delicious sandwich!

Running time is about 1 hour.

Written and directed by Scott Kennedy with music direction and costumes by Suzanne Hockstein, Jack and the Beanstalk features a cast including Corinne Delaney, Kathryn Donnelly, Leila Duffy, Danny Flinn, Bronagh Harmon, Suzanne Hockstein, Caitlin Seward and Stephen Smallhorne.
