Building Connections, Strengthening Relationships: The Art and Science of Teaching
Teaching is both an art and a science that involves students and instructors connecting with each other and the world. As educators, we use techniques and technologies as tools to engage students, broaden knowledge, and stimulate critical thinking and creativity. How do you share your passion for your discipline to connect with, and inspire, your students? How do you develop a community of learners where diverse individuals with different personalities and frames of references can respect, learn from and support each other? There are many pathways to teaching and learning, but building connections and strengthening relationships matter in all of them.
Come to TRU's 12th annual Teaching Practices Colloquium on Monday, February 15th, 2016 and share your stories, ideas, and successful practices. Take time to reflect on your own teaching and learning and connect with others.
**Late registration will be available at the door of TPC (outside of the Clock Tower Theatre) on Feb 15th, 8am to 10am, cost $30.00 cash or cheque.
