The Sunny Mountain Serenaders
Fiddler Mark Campbell and banjoist-singer-mouth harpist Mac Traynham share a common love of traditional mountain music of Virginia. Both learned from legends of the area. Mark and Mac are Masters with the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and have earned ribbons for their music in contests ranging from Galax to the State Fair of Virginia, to Elk Creek and Clifftop, WV. Ace guitarist John Schwab is a coveted accompanist who has backed contest winners from Surry County to Clifftop and published a wonderful book on old-time back-up guitar learned from the masters. The three boast 130 years of experience in the field of old time music, and perform songs and tunes from Virginia and beyond.
