SO YOU THINK YOU CAN COMPOSE?
SYBARITE5 partners with New College composition students to foster new works for string quintet. Aided by professor Bret Aarden, students study music composed for SYBARITE5 and then create short pieces that are performed and workshopped before the concert. Along with Sybarite5's standard repertoire including PIAZZOLLA, RADIOHEAD and LED ZEPPELIN the new compositions are performed live in a casual concert setting. So You Think You Can Compose transforms classical music composition into something both relevant and exciting for audiences, composers and performers.
$15 in advance
$20 at the door
FREE for New College students, faculty and staff. (New College ID required at the event)
