APAA Perspectives: Art Handling Logistics Part Three
Join APAA on November 3, 2015 for the third in a three part series on the logistics of art handling. The session will include answers to questions including:
What is the difference between a secure installation and a security installation. How can you prevent damage in transport?
What are some deciding factors in choosing an installation company and transportation company?
What are some basic handling techniques for works of art, including hoisting, carrying and staging? What is the most effective form of lighting fixture to allow for removal of Ultra Violet and Infared (UV and IR) What are the best low-maintenance lighting systems? What to look for in permanent lighting solutions? Insurance, shipping and art handling will be at the core of each session.
