An Evening of Jazz with Bonnie Harris
Come hear the amazing sounds of Jazz Vocalist Bonnie Harris in the wonderful loft of a renovated barn!

The Oakland Mills Music and Arts Committee is excited to present jazz vocalist, Bonnie Harris in an "Evening of Jazz" at TOB, OM Village Center, 5851 Robert Oliver Place, Columbia, MD. 21045 on Sunday, December 16, 2007 from 5 to 7 PM. Contact number: 410.730.4610.

Bonnie Harris has been performing at many of the leading jazz venues in the Washington Metropolitan area to include: The Mandarin Hotel, The One Step Down, The Islander, Vincino's and Sabang.

She has performed at many special events such as the 2006 Congressional Black Caucus.  Bonnie has delighted audiences at The African American Culture's Duke Ellington Youth Project, produced by the Smithsonian Institute and The International Duke Ellington's Society's Great Lady's of Song.  She appeared at the "Life of Virginia's Concerts"
jazz festival with the Great American Music Ensemble  in Richmond, Va.

She has performed in the rock opera "When ET flew over the Cuckoo's Nest", a Mason Rhyne Production.

Bonnie is a talented and accomplished vocalist whose interactive style
and lyrical interpretations are distinctive.  She has the ability to totally engage her listeners by establishing a sense of mutuality between performer and audience.

The sweet, melodious sounds of Bonnie Harris with Vince Smith on piano; Wes Biles, bass, Paul Carr, sax and Jeff Neal, drums, will create a delightful evening of jazz; one that will leave you breathless for days to come.

This series is coordinated by the incomparable Ms. Lavenia Nesmith , of whom the Baltimore Sun has raved, "Her versatile voice, rich and resonant, can be powerful and poignant, sultry or sweet."
