Soulwork: Creating, Acting, Living
"Everything I learned about manifesting the life I want, I learned through being an actor and 'soul-o' performer.  After acting and performing on stage for seventeen years, I realized that everything that I've been doing for the past five years to get to where I want to be in life I already learned through all the improv, acting and solo performance workshops I've taken thus far.  My intention is to utilize the exercises I've learned and the experiences I've lived to teach others how to listen to ourselves, act mindfully and create the life they love through the tools of self-expression and acting."  - Nicole Maxali

Inspired by books like "The Artist's Way" and real life experiences, this experiential workshop includes reflective writing exercises, improv games, scene work and theater basics to help participants get out of their own way and dig deeper into the craft of creating.   By being in the moment, actively listening (to oneself and those around you), finding your true intentions and taking risks, you can become a better artist and if the world is a stage...a better you as well.

Nicole provides a safe and playful space to explore and creatively express yourself, all the while taping into the soul work of acting.  All levels are welcome.  Participants should be 18 years or older. Class limited to 15 (waiting list will be implemented in the case of cancellations).

ABOUT NICOLE MAXALI
As a child of a successful samba dancer and a local musician, it didn't take long for Nicole to grow weary of putting her OWN dreams as an artist on hold. In 2005, she quit her job running scripts in a highly-stressed newsroom  and began her journey as a working actor and non-profit humanitarian. Since that first day she stepped out of the newsroom and onto the stage she has evolved creatively and spiritually through various local artistic productions at Bindlestiff Studio, Shelton Studio, StageWerx Theater, Off Market Theater, Brava Theater and Herbst Theater to name a few.
