LRSO Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra - May 14, 2016 Concert
The Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra concludes its 2015-2016 season with a fabulous POPS concert - sure to delight all music lovers and theater buffs.
This concert is dedicated to the music of Rodgers & Hammerstein, and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Select vocalists from Plymouth State University under the direction of Emily Jaworski will be featured. Emily herself has been a featured soloist with LRSO.
This is a special concert format featuring pre-programmed selections from the Rodgers & Hammerstein and Andrew Lloyd Webber catalogs. Almost two dozen selections will be performed, including "Some Enchanted Evening", "Overture to South Pacific", "Edelweiss", and more from Oklahoma, The King and I, The Sound of Music, Flower Drum Song, and more.
From the songbook of Andrew Lloyd Webber leap the incomparable "Memory" from Cats, "Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera, "Any Dream will Do" from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and many many more.
