Too Much Information III
On February, 3rd, 4th and 5th, Starling Productions will stage its third edition of "Too Much Information!" a popular, often sold-out stage production featuring true monologues developed over the course of a 12-week writing and performing workshop taught by executive director Eva Tenuto, writing workshop leader Sari Botton, and improv leader Julie Novak.
This time, however, there's a new wrinkle: Each of the three performances will be unique, featuring different monologues by three distinct groups of writer/performers. Also, for the first time, it won't be just women on the stage some men will be included, too, as they were in one of the two fall workshops.
TMI celebrates the tradition of storytelling, and aims to elevate it to a higher level of theatrical performance. The result is monologues that touch, move and inspire, written and performed by people from all walks of life. In presenting a diverse mix of stories from all corners of our world, TMI strives to bring about greater understanding of people we often know least about.
In 2011, TMI had successful runs at the Rosendale Theatre, and the Shadowland Theatre in Ellenville, after which enrollment in the TMI workshop tripled which has made it possible to create the three unique editions of the current production.
"Come hear the truth about our transitions, challenges and moments of growth, pride and accomplishment," suggests Tenuto, who will perform all three dates, as will Novak and Botton. "Yes, we're a bit reluctant to stand in front of an audience and tell our sometimes painful truth but we're going to do it anyway! Because sharing our stories is empowering and uplifting to both actor and audience! You'll laugh, you'll cry and maybe you'll share your own TMI in the car ride home!"
Directed once again by Tenuto, TMI will be performed February 3rd and 4th at 8 p.m., and February 5th at 2 p.m., at the Rosendale Theatre, in Rosendale, New York.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $40 in advance for all 3 shows. Tickets are $20 for each show at the door.
