Three excellent bands perform their favorite cover tunes tonight.
ERIC SALT AND THE ELECTRIC CITY
Boston rock band with an eclectic sound. Formed from The Abbey Lounge scene in 2005, Eric enlisted brother Denis, bassist Eric Anderson, and guitarist Mike Oram. They recorded the LP "The Hail Mary" with producer Ed Valauskas at famed Q Division Studios. Eric continues to perform solo shows and spends time scoring and producing at Mosquito Studios just outside Boston. In Late 2006 Eric scored the indie movie The Busker (www.thebuskerthemovie.com ) written and directed by Steve Croke. In early 2006 he contributed scoring to critically acclaimed documentary filmmaker David Sutherland's "Country Boys" which debuted on Frontline to rave revues. Eric's music has also been featured in television shows such as "Dawson's Creek" and "Summerland".
AXEMUNKEE
Axemunkee is a Boston-based, instrumental rock group featuring the guitar wizardry of Catherine Capozzi. Capozzi is nothing less than a guitar goddess, a girl who can shred with the best of the boys a fact well-known in Boston since her work in the late '90s and early '00s with the band All the Queen's Men, then later with the Edith Piaf tribute band, Ziaf.
THE OTHER GIRLS
5 pals were bummed they couldn't see each other all the time because they were already busy with their other bands...
so they started their own so they could hang!
10 years later, they're still good pals:)
The Other Girls rock tunes from the Stones to Bowie and Joan Jett to The Animals.
