Bellevue College's Big Band Jazz Festival

Bellevue College's Big Band Jazz Festival. BC's Jazz Band directed by Hal Sherman will host the 16th annual Big Band Jazz Festival. There will be 32 Washington and Oregon High Schools and Middle Schools competing for top honors.

Feb 3rd: 8am 5 pm prelims free to public J B Festival (Jr. Highs/High)

Feb 4th: 8 am 5 pm prelims free to public J B Festival (High Schools)

Feb 4th: 8 pm $10 Concert Guest Artist: Alexi Nikolaev

Friday will be an all day event for Middle Schools with the top 3 schools and 8 individual awards to be handed out at the end of the day. Friday Afternoon we will start the completion with the high schools and will compete all day on Saturday until 5 pm when the top 3 schools will be selected for the evening concert. The evening concert will start at 8 pm with the top 3 high schools and the followed by our own BC Jazz Band performing Big Band Music. There will be a guest artist performing a clinic on Saturday during the lunch hour as well as he will be performing with the BC Jazz Band in the evening concert.
