Write Act Repertory Theatre's Producing Artistic Director John Lant and Associate Artistic Director Ken Cosby are proud to present this cleverly constructed production directed by Hector Rodriguez and produced by Wil Bowers and John Lant for a 3-week engagement, in Los Angeles, opening December 2nd and closing on December 18th, 2011.
You Can Call Me Eve is a drama looking back on the events that changed the life of Rosa, a young Latina, and shaped her into a new woman in her later years. Issues of love, loss, family, faith, sin and sexuality come into play in this moving story. You Can Call Me Eve stars *Marina Palmier, Henry Alberto, Natalie Camunas, Misha Gonz-Cirkl, Alex Rodrigo, Peter DiVito, Carlos Joseph, and Mike McAleer. Press & Publicity: Wil Bowers 818-943-6135 wilbowers@writeactrep.org Michael Coulombe, Playwright, is a writer and filmmaker, born in Anaheim, CA and grew up in Riverside. You Can Call Me Eve is his first play. He works as a script supervisor in the film industry and has worked on well over 60 features in the last 5 years. Swimming the Storm, a book of poetry, was his first published work. Co-Founder of the Big Bear Horror Film Festival, he helped and continues to help up-and-coming filmmakers, actors, and writers achieve their dreams (much like he his achieving his dreams.) He is writing the script Eden Falls, a thriller, alongside Martin Rogers and Victor Miller (who wrote the original Friday the 13th.) He has also written a children's book Squeak the Mouse and a second book of poetry Resilient that he looks to publish in 2012. He also has two short films that he has written that he is looking to direct in 2012.
Hector Rodriguez, Director, most recently co-directed Brown and Out, the 1st annual Latino/a gay short play festival at Casa 0101 Theater. Also at Casa 0101 Theater, he has directed the acclaimed, Love Letters to Women, the controversial Detained in the Desert and co-directed the Imagen Award winning production of 8 Ways to Say I Love My Life, and Mean It! Hector is a member of Directors Lab West and is a resident director at Casa 0101 Theater.
