Handcrafting delicious beers in the continental tradition, Occidental Brewing Co. employs superior malted barleys and hops from the Northwest and Europe with pioneering ingenuity.
Occidental Brewing Company was founded in 2011 by the uncle-nephew team Dan and Ben Engler. Nearly two decades after Dan fermented his first batch of beer in a plastic pickle bucket, Ben convinced his uncle that it was high time that they both ditch white-collar life for real, meaningful work and open a brewery. Long a fan of German beer, Dan had developed a number of continental-style beer over the course of his homebrewing career. The Engler boys decided that such would be the focus of Occidental's lineup. After nearly two years of work to get the brewery open, Dan and Ben brewed Occidental's first batch of beer Memorial Day weekend 2011.
Taco Pedaler
Proud to serve authentic Mexican styled street tacos on a hand pressed corn tortilla. They make the tortillas right there on the trikes, and you will taste this in each bite! Their meats are all natural and produce purchased locally. They pedal their trikes to each location, set up shop & serve each taco w/ love and then break it all down and pedal off leaving no trace behind. Taco Pedaler sets up daily and posts on both Facebook and Twitter. They also love getting invites to events and catering is one of our specialties! Taco Pedaler has just opened a brick and mortar on Broadway between 23rd and 24th. Check them out!

The Side Yard
An urban farm, nomadic supper club and catering company located in the NE Cully Neighborhood in Portland, Oregon. We provide local restaurants with creative organic produce and the community with food, farm education and opportunity since 2009. The farm is largely operated by volunteers and interns who gain hands on experience with the urban seed to plate movement. The Side Yard offers 'Nomadic Chef' suppers & brunches, private catering, educational DIY workshops, farm tours, grief group and kids camp. Our focus is to provide local food for the local community, from the seeds we sow, animals we raise and to the craftsmanship we embrace.
