Triptych: 3 Dance Voices
Winifred Haun, Jessica Miller Tomlinson & Jacqueline Stewart present 2 dance concerts, a post performance talk and a master class. The dance concerts will include 5 world premieres and 2 works from each artist. The post performance talk will give you the opportunity to share your impressions of the dances and hear how and why the artists make work. The master class will be taught by Jacqueline Stewart and will feature choreography and technique from the show.

It will be about 1 hour and 45 minutes. There will be one 15 minute intermission, and one 5 minute pause.
Winifred Haun's new work will be a duet on aerial straps, "Bemused." The duet is inspired by the tortured relationship between a man and his slowly developing idea. The work features a set that includes a desk, a chair, a laptop computer and aerial straps. Ms Haun will also present, "Bento," her acclaimed group work from 2011, based on the dance phrases of other artists.
Jessica Miller Tomlinson will present two world premieres. "Run 1 Run 2 Run 3" is a duet for Ms. Miller Tomlinson and Joshua Manculich that tells the story of love lost but found again in a different time, place and form. "Transient Intersections" is an abstract group work danced to music by the Mahavishnu Orchestra. The dance is an athletic work for 5 couples.
Jacqueline Stewart will also premiere two new works, "Coffee and Alcohol," and "Manos." "Coffee and Alcohol," is a quintet inpsired by the sensations of dehydration. Expressing both the physical and subjective forms, the work shows what drying out feels and looks like. "Manos" is for four dancers and is based on an original dance photograph taken by Ms. Stewart. The work tells a dramatic story of a woman lost in her own images and movements and features the music of Alberto Iglesias.
