More Info and single show tickets here!

If any living pianist has the depth of playing experience to be a guide through the history of jazz, it's Bill Mays. From 1969 to the early 1980s Mays worked as a studio session musician in Los Angeles. He has been an accompanist to singers Al Jarreau, Peggy Lee, Anita O'Day, Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughan and Dionne Warwick, and also worked with artists such as Mel Lewis, Shelly Manne, Bob Mintzer, Red Mitchell, Gerry Mulligan, Art Pepper, Bud Shank, Bobby Shew, Sonny Stitt, Paul Winter, Phil Woods and Frank Zappa. In 1984, he moved to New York City where he works as a bandleader, composer, and arranger. He has recorded over two dozen albums under his own name, and has been heard on hundreds more by others.  The show will be narrated by Jazz Journalists Association Lifetime Achievement Award-winning author Doug Ramsey.  This is truly a remarkable pairing.

11/28: Dan Brubeck

An heir to a jazz legacy, and a truly accomplished performer, Dan has played extensively with his father, the legendary pianist and composer Dave Brubeck. He has been an integral part of the various Brubeck bands, notably The Darius Brubeck Ensemble, Two Generations of Brubeck, and The New Brubeck Quartet. As a member of these groups, Dan backed such star performers as Gerry Mulligan, Paul Desmond and Jon Hendricks. He has been a featured soloist with many prestigious symphony orchestras, and has played at the top jazz festivals in the US. and Europe including Newport, Kool, North Sea, Montreux, Montreal, Nice and others.

1/23: Industrial Revelation
More Info and single show tickets here!

2014 seemed to be the year of Industrial Revelation. Not only did D'Vonne Lewis (drums), Evan Flory-Barnes (bass), Josh Rawlings (keyboard), and Ahamefule J. Oluo (trumpet) receive the 2014 Stranger Genius Award for Music, the cross-genre quartet also recorded a live album, headlined an Earshot Jazz Festival performance which was filmed for the documentary "Icons Among Us: Jazz in the Present Tense," and earned attention from Seattle press as one of the city's most exciting bands. Industrial Revelation's boundary-breaking sound proves that jazz can be appreciated by a wide audience.
