Solo Sundays, S.F.'s premier monthly showcase, presents select samplings of veteran virtuosos and top emerging talent in the intimate Stage Werx theater near Union Square. Beyond stand-up and storytelling, solo theater creates casts of thousands - plus special effects - all bursting from a single performer. Back home, her mom's knocking back beers, watching American Idol, totally fed up with her daughter's pregnancy.Meanwhile, the on-edge prospective mommies alternate between new age affirmations and obscenity-laced outbursts at Target. Affecting and hilarious, this show is richly informed by Julia's own surreal experiences with the adoption industry.
