Poetry & Coffee: sunday, june 28 2015 | Unconventional Love Poems
**UNCONVENTIONAL LOVE POEMS** Bring a poem that is NOT a romantic love poem.  Bring a poem that is anti-love, about love of oneself, is lusty, is bitter, is hilarious, is about reasons not to love, is naughty, is bizarre, is outlandish - ANYTHING but a conventional love poem.

Poetry & Coffee is a simple concept. It's a group of people who get together over food and drinks, each bringing a poem of their choice to read and discuss. **The only rule is that the poem cannot be your own work.** Please bring 20 copies of the poem to share with the group.

We read, we talk. Simple as that. And that is where the simplicity ends, as each Poetry & Coffee gathering takes on a life of its own and consistently becomes magical beyond all expectation.

Tickets are free but you must have one to attend.  Event is from 5pm-8pm.

Two types of tickets:
Read Poem / Discussion - You bring a poem to read to the group and bring photocopies to share.  You also participate in the discussion.
Discussion Only - You participate in the discussion of the poems.  You can also just listen, if you wish.

If you reserve a ticket and cancel without giving at least 48-hour's notice, you will not be able to reserve tickets to future events.  Our apologies for the severity. We are trying to prevent no-shows from taking the seats from people who genuinely want to attend.

"I have tried to remember throughout that poetry is made by flesh-and-blood human beings. It is a bloody art. It lives on a human scale and thrives when it is passed from hand to hand." - Edward Hirsch

Food and drinks (and books!) will be available for purchase. Please purchase at least one item to kindly support our venue but, if you can't, come anyway. YOU are more important than your money.
