Could be the less then desirable work habits he's honed to a dull edge for years. Or the backhanded encouragement he's getting from his laptop. Or the silver-tongued anti-motivational speaker named Zed Feltig. Or the inexorable pull of the dirty laundry (Literal, not figurative.) Or is it just plain old writer's block? Nah, too hacky.
