Tara Linda: Equipped with a sultry voice, button accordion, and baritone ukulele, chanteuse Tara Linda plays original roots rock; blending spaghetti western and Latin torch. A torch singer influenced by the early singers of American and Latin American cultures, Tara writes original music grounded in the Texas traditions she grew up with; Americana, blues, rock, and jazz. Tara writes new tangos, waltzes, and boleros for accordion, and skirts global genres to blend them into a style uniquely hers. "Tara Linda songs are intelligent, sexy, funny, heart rending." ~ Folk and Acoustic Music Exchange "Mesmerizing" (Oakland Tribune/San Jose Mercury News) "rich and "sultry vocals" (The Muse's Muse). Jetty Swart: Jetty Swart, who pronounces her first name "Yeti", was born in the port of Amsterdam. She thought of a career as a graphic designer but exchanged her computer for an accordion in Prague, and serenaded her way from Paris to Mexico before landing in San Francisco. She calls her music a "punk-style gypsy party where Nina Hagen, Edith Piaf and Kurt Weill meet". She's hilarious, engaging, dramatic, energetic, touching and thoroughly original. ---------------------------------------------------- Hear her music here: http://www.myspace.com/yetila
