Join us for an open conversation about green theater-making practices in the independent theater community, hosted by Superhero Clubhouse in partnership with The League of Independent Theater and the Broadway Green Alliance.
A diverse panel of professionals from theater, science, and policy will share their experiences and perspectives on sustainable theater and the importance of green art-making in society at large. The floor will be open for all attendees to share ideas and to posit questions to the group.
Refreshments will be provided, along with a list of resources and an opportunity to become a Green Captain with the Broadway Green Alliance. Come and connect with an inspired community of ecological, independent theater-makers!
And come early or stay late for free performances of:
Big Green Theater @ The Bushwick Starr 11am- the plays of PS123 3pm- the plays of PS075
Superhero Clubhouse's fifth annual eco-playwriting program for Bushwick fifth-graders culminates in a professional, green production of student-written eco-plays at The Bushwick Starr.
This year's program involved two Bushwick schools, PS 123 and PS 075. The plays-- hilarious, poignant, and hopeful-- explore real questions of climate change through extraordinary stories filled with possessed mermaids, rapping tsunamis, unfrozen cavemen, and scientist superheroes.
Please use this link to reserve FREE tickets for either performance. https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pr/944442
