Who: Bellevue College Theatre Arts Dept
What: The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Y York adapted from the book by Elizabeth George Speare. Set in 17th Puritanical New England, this Newbery Award winning novel sets Kit, a teenager from Barbados against her strict relatives in colonial Connecticut. Because of her friendship with a shunned Quaker woman and her own joyous behavior, Kit finds her own freedom and life in danger.
