Tornado Rider

Arena Theater and co-producer Blake More will present Bay Area punk rock band Tornado Rider on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 9:00 PM.Doors open at 8:00 PM.
Tornado Rider is a powerful bird band of swirling goat god victory that lurks in the spooky forest regions and yells out over the mountains," proclaims Tornado Rider"s frenetic frontman, Rushad Eggleston. To be perfectly honest, there's no better way to describe the sound of San Francisco's Tornado Rider.
Tornado Rider's music has awakened a new consciousness in music that defies logic and even reality with their unique fusion of punk energy, rock power, pop hooks, classical harmonies, funk rhythms, and manic bluegrass hootenannies. Especially extraordinary is their singular brand of wild animal rock only utilizing an electric cello, electric bass, and drums to create a colorful world of escape into mischievous playfulness and thunderous raucousness.
Formed in May of 2008, Tornado Rider is the brainchild of enigmatic lead singer and electric cello player, Rushad Eggleston. A Grammy nominated artist, Eggleston worked his way around various instruments including rock and blue grass guitar, violin, and eventually found a soul mate in the form of the electric cello. After graduating from Berklee School of Music in Boston with a cello scholarship, Eggleston tried his hand at a number of bands, never finding the right one to unleash what was in his head and soul. After hooking up with friends in the Bay Area, bassist Graham Terry and drummer Scott Manke, Eggleston felt that Tornado Rider was at last complete with the right partners. Since their inception in 2008 they have released two CDs, "Do You Have Time"? and "Sneth Rock".
Dubbing their music "Sneth Rock", Tornado Rider are taking listeners into their world and letting everyone marvel at it while creating a one of a kind musical experience and their music is so aggressively fun that, according to Eggleston, "it forces you to dance a lightning-dance!"
