Join us Tuesdays at 7pm, April 7, 14, 21 & 28, 2015, for a sampler of Art themed films in the BIMA Auditorium:

April 7
TIM'S VERMEER (2013)
This documentary film directed by Teller, and produced by his stage partner Penn Jillette along with Farley Ziegler, profiles inventor Tim Jenison's efforts to duplicate the painting techniques of Johannes Vermeer, testing his theory that Vermeer painted with the help of optical devices.

April 14
FINDING VIVIAN MAIER (2013)
An intriguing documentary on the late Vivian Maier, a Chicago nanny whose previously unknown cache of 100,000 photographs earned her a posthumous reputation as one of the most accomplished street photographers.  Narratively gripping, visually striking, and ultimately thought-provoking.

April 21
AMELIE (2001)
Lively and fanciful, AMELIE features actress Audrey Tautou as its delightfully charming heroine: a naïve Parisian with her own sense of justice. Her earnest approach to life leads her to help others, along the way making life-changing discoveries of her own.

April 28
THE CATS OF MIRIKITANI (2007)
This documentary showcases the life and work of artist Jimmy Mirikitani in an intimate exploration of the lingering wounds of war and the healing power of art. A heartwarming affirmation of humanity, this film will appeal to lovers of peace, art, and cats.

The BIMA Bistro stays open until 7pm in advance of each screening for drinks, food and small bites.
