Poetry & Coffee: sunday, april 12 2015 | IS THAT A POEM IN YOUR POCKET?
**SPECIAL APRIL EVENT: IS THAT A POEM IN YOUR POCKET OR ARE YOU JUST HAPPY TO SEE ME?** In celebration of National Poetry Month and Poem In Your Pocket Day on April 30th, bring one of your favorite poems. Let it be a poem that you would carry around with you in your pocket and give to people, knowing that it would inspire them, change them, make them laugh, make them cry, make them ponder, wonder, dream. Let it be a poem that you would give to someone and say, "Here. This is a piece of ME."
Poetry & Coffee is a simple concept. It's a group of people who get together over food and drinks, each bringing a poem of their choice to read and discuss. **The only rule is that the poem cannot be your own work.** Please bring 15 copies of the poem to share with the group.
We read, we talk. Simple as that. And that is where the simplicity ends, as each Poetry & Coffee gathering takes on a life of its own and consistently becomes magical beyond all expectation.
Tickets are free but you must have one to attend. Event is from 5:45-9pm.
If you reserve a ticket and cancel without giving at least 48-hour's notice, you will not be able to reserve tickets to future events. Our apologies for the severity. We are trying to prevent no-shows from taking the seats from people who genuinely want to attend.

[NOTE: Venue might change for April 12th but will still be in Astoria/LIC] Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Please purchase at least one item to kindly support our venue but, if you can't, come anyway. YOU are more important than your money.
